Senior Cluster Manager – Banking Channel (West 1 Zone)

About the role

The Senior Cluster Manager will lead insurance business generation through HDFC branch banking partners in the West 1 Zone. The role focuses on driving premium revenue, nurturing relationships with bank branch heads, and ensuring seamless pre‑ and post‑sale support for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve premium and revenue targets while contributing to overall company growth.
• Maintain continuous interaction with multiple bank branch heads, mapping key decision‑makers and sharing relevant information.
• Design and execute innovative branch activities to increase customer penetration and product uptake.
• Ensure smooth execution of sales processes, including sales calls, policy issuance, and complaint handling.
• Communicate process changes and regulatory updates through training modules.
• Manage end‑to‑end relationship with bank partners, providing insurance and banking product knowledge.
• Identify new business opportunities, drive product mix (Traditional 50%, ULIP 40%, Term 10%) and meet activation targets.
• Provide inputs for new product development and sales pitches based on channel needs.
• Identify training requirements for internal and partner teams and oversee their delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience in insurance sales and channel management, preferably with banking partners.
• Strong relationship‑building skills across multiple levels of bank hierarchy.
• Deep understanding of insurance and banking product portfolios.
• Ability to analyze business performance and present actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and negotiation capabilities.
