Senior Buyer – Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Senior Buyer will manage the end‑to‑end procurement of critical items for manufacturing sites, ensuring technical specifications match user requirements and that the best value is secured through effective negotiations.

Key responsibilities

• Float enquiries for critical items based on user demand.
• Validate and approve technical requirements against vendor specifications.
• Conduct second‑round negotiations and present outcomes to the buying manager for final approval.
• Execute purchase orders and record transactions in the SAP system.
• Identify and evaluate alternative vendors to mitigate risk.
• Resolve internal and external audit findings related to procurement.
• Support fellow buyers in addressing audit and compliance issues.

Required profile

• B.Tech or BE degree.
• 6‑9 years of experience in category sourcing and manufacturing procurement.
• Experience with category‑based purchasing and supply management in a plant environment.
• Strong analytical mindset and commercial acumen.

Required skills

• SAP procurement module.
