Senior Buyer – Procurement Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Buyer to manage the procurement of critical items across our manufacturing sites. The role involves validating technical specifications, conducting second‑round negotiations, exploring alternative suppliers, and ensuring accurate ordering through the SAP system.

Key responsibilities

• Float enquiries for critical items based on user requirements.
• Match and approve technical requirements from users against vendor specifications.
• Conduct second‑round negotiations and provide details to the buying manager for high‑value deals, or close low‑value deals directly.
• Place orders for finalized items and record transactions in SAP.
• Respond promptly to internal and external audit queries related to procurement and support fellow buyers in issue resolution.

Required profile

• B.Tech or B.E. degree.
• 6–9 years of experience in category‑based sourcing and manufacturing procurement.
• Experience in supply management within a plant operations environment is desirable.

Required skills

• SAP (ERP) procurement module.
