Senior Buyer – Category & Project Procurement

About the role
We are looking for a Senior Buyer to manage the procurement of critical items across our manufacturing sites. The role involves validating technical specifications, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring seamless ordering through SAP.
Key responsibilities
- Validate technical requirements against vendor specifications and user needs.
- Conduct second‑round negotiations and present recommendations to the buying manager.
- Identify alternative vendors to secure the best value.
- Issue purchase orders and record transactions in the SAP system.
- Respond promptly to internal and external audit queries related to procurement.
- Support other buyers in resolving audit and compliance issues.
Required profile
- B.Tech or B.E. degree.
- 6–9 years of experience in category‑based sourcing and manufacturing procurement.
- Proven experience in supply management within a plant operations environment.
Required skills
- SAP procurement module.
