Senior Android Engineer (Native, Kotlin, BLE)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Android Engineer with deep expertise in native Android development to join our engineering team. You will own the design and delivery of high‑quality Android applications that interact with connected hardware, including Bluetooth Low Energy devices.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable native Android applications using Kotlin.
• Implement features that communicate with external peripherals, especially BLE devices.
• Architect application layers with modern reactive patterns such as Coroutines, Flow, or RxJava.
• Create responsive, production‑ready UIs with Jetpack Compose.
• Write clean, testable code following Android best practices and architectural guidelines.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across performance, connectivity, and lifecycle layers.
• Collaborate with product, design, QA, hardware, and other cross‑functional teams to define requirements.
• Drive engineering excellence through unit testing, code reviews, debugging, and profiling.

Required profile

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, primarily in native Android development.
• Strong command of Kotlin and core Android fundamentals.
• Deep understanding of memory management, concurrency, app/activity lifecycle, and Android architecture.
• Hands‑on experience with Kotlin Coroutines, Flow and/or RxJava.
• Proven track record building production apps with Jetpack Compose.
• Excellent problem‑solving and debugging skills, especially for connectivity layers.
• Effective communication and teamwork across multidisciplinary groups.
