Senior Accounting Specialist

About the role

The Senior Accounting Specialist is a core member of IDinsight's global finance team, responsible for maintaining accurate financial records across a multi‑entity structure. Based in India, the role combines technical accounting rigor with cross‑functional collaboration, supporting daily transaction review, global audits and consolidated statutory reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Review, upload and post journal entries, ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
• Coordinate multi‑entity month‑end close and prepare balance‑sheet reconciliations for entities in India, the US, South Africa, Kenya, Zambia, Morocco, Senegal and others.
• Manage intercompany reconciliations, including lease accounting, software cost allocations, prepaid journals and insurance accruals.
• Own revenue reconciliation and accounts‑receivable aging, match receipts to invoices, and resolve intercompany income items.
• Oversee transfer‑pricing invoice accuracy and train team members on related processes.
• Support global audit activities by preparing schedules, responding to queries and compiling documentation.
• Act as primary contact for multi‑country audit requests and ensure timely closure of outstanding items.
• Maintain statutory compliance across all IDinsight entities, leveraging strong technical knowledge of diverse regulatory environments.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in multi‑entity accounting and financial consolidation.
• Proven ability to work with global audit teams and manage statutory compliance in multiple jurisdictions.
• Strong understanding of revenue recognition, intercompany transactions and transfer‑pricing principles.
• Excellent analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and audit readiness.
