Senior Accountant – Full‑time, On‑site in Amritsar

About the role

Puneet Anoop Gupta & Co, a leading chartered accountancy firm in Amritsar, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its dynamic team. This full‑time, on‑site position offers exposure to both domestic and international clients across the US, UK, Canada, the Netherlands, and Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse financial statements for local and global clients.
• Manage journal entries, reconciliations, and periodic financial reporting.
• Maintain accurate records using Tally, Busy, QuickBooks Online, and Xero.
• Provide analytical insights to support client decision‑making.
• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and Income Tax regulations.
• Coordinate with auditors and assist in statutory and tax audits.
• Mentor junior staff and oversee quality control.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (B.Com/MBA/CA).
• Proven experience in financial reporting, audit preparation, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax filings and Companies Act compliance.
• Excellent analytical, communication and client‑management abilities.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior staff while handling multiple deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Tally and Busy accounting software.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online and Xero (plus).
• Advanced MS Excel skills – Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF.
