Section Engineer – Civil (Railway Projects)

About the role

We are looking for a Section Engineer (Civil) to lead civil construction activities on a railway infrastructure project in Gurugram. You will ensure that all works are executed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise construction of railway formation, embankments, cuttings, bridges, culverts, station buildings, and drainage works.
• Monitor daily site execution, verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Conduct site inspections to enforce safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
• Validate measurements, contractor bills, and quantity records.
• Assist in resolving technical issues and ensure material quality and testing compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) from a recognized university.
• Minimum 5 years of civil engineering experience, including at least 2–3 years on railway infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in construction supervision, quality assurance, and contract management.

Required skills

• Knowledge of railway civil construction practices and standards (Indian Railways, Metro Rail, RDSO, etc.).
• Familiarity with quality control procedures and construction supervision.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project monitoring tools.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem‑solving abilities.
