Safety Officer (NEBOSH Certified)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Safety Officer to lead EHS initiatives in a manufacturing environment. The role involves implementing safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and enforce EHS policies, conduct routine safety inspections, and monitor PPE compliance.
• Perform Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) and develop Job Safety Analyses (JSA) for critical operations.
• Investigate accidents, near‑misses and unsafe conditions, conduct root‑cause analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Maintain fire safety equipment, plan emergency drills and coordinate with local fire services.
• Deliver safety induction, toolbox talks, and training on PPE, emergency response, machine safety, LOTO and fire safety.
• Verify machine guarding, interlock systems and electrical safety, ensuring proper LOTO during maintenance.
• Manage contractor safety compliance, verify documentation and monitor on‑site performance.

Required profile

• B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, Safety or related engineering discipline.
• NEBOSH certification (mandatory) or ADIS/PDIS diploma.
• 3–6 years of safety officer experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably in metal processing, automotive or knife manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of the Factories Act, industrial safety standards and EHS regulations.
