Robotic Welding Programmer & Operator

About the role

SEA Hydrosystems is seeking a full‑time Robotic Welding Programmer & Operator to work on‑site at its Poonamallee facility. You will operate and monitor robotic welding equipment that produces hydraulic cylinders and related components, ensuring high‑quality welds and meeting production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare materials, fixtures, and load parts into welding cells.
• Select, verify, and adjust welding programs and parameters.
• Inspect welds for defects and measure parts against specifications.
• Coordinate with supervisors, quality teams, and production colleagues to resolve issues.
• Perform routine equipment checks, support minor maintenance, and follow safety and housekeeping standards.

Required profile

• Strong background in industrial welding and arc welding.
• Hands‑on experience with TIG and MIG welding processes.
• Familiarity with materials used in hydraulic cylinders, including steel grades.
• Experience operating robotic or automated welding systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings, weld symbols, and work instructions.
• Attention to detail and proficiency with measurement tools such as calipers and gauges.
• Commitment to safety, shift work, and physical demands of shop‑floor work.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills.
