Retail Accountant – Perfume Showrooms

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Retail Accountant to oversee end‑to‑end accounting for our perfume showrooms in Marine Lines, Mumbai. The role combines sales accounting, stock management, cash handling and GST compliance within a fast‑moving retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain daily accounting for showroom operations, including cash, card, UPI and online transactions.
• Handle stock accounting – inward, outward, transfers, valuation and reconciliation.
• Monitor inventory movement, resolve discrepancies with store teams, and prepare regular MIS reports on sales, margins and expenses.
• Perform cash, bank, card and POS reconciliations on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Ensure GST compliance by preparing returns, reconciling inputs/outputs and maintaining documentation.
• Coordinate with store managers and sales teams for accurate data capture.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities and provide audit‑ready documentation.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of accounting experience in retail or showroom sales, preferably in perfume, FMCG, fashion or luxury segments.
• Strong knowledge of stock and inventory accounting and high‑volume transaction handling.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills to work with multiple store locations.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Tally.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
