Resort Manager – Strategic Operations Leader

About the role

The Resort Manager acts as the strategic business leader for all property operations and serves as General Manager in their absence. This role oversees multiple departments—including Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, Food & Beverage, and Event Management—to ensure the brand’s service standards, guest satisfaction, and financial performance are met.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute an operations strategy aligned with the brand’s business objectives.
• Manage profitability and departmental budgets, reviewing financial reports to track performance against targets.
• Oversee capital expenditure allocation to support service‑strategy priorities.
• Coach department heads on occupancy, rate management, wage control, and expense containment.
• Ensure all operational areas create an atmosphere that enhances the overall guest experience.
• Identify operational challenges, devise solutions, and implement preventive measures.
• Communicate clear operational goals and monitor implementation of brand and regional initiatives.
• Conduct regular property tours, engaging with employees and guests to assess needs and opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large‑scale resort or hotel operations.
• Strong financial acumen with ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and capital projects.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, capable of guiding executive committee members and department heads.
• Ability to align operational activities with brand service strategies and customer expectations.
• Excellent communication skills for conveying strategic goals and driving team accountability.
