Reservations Executive

About the role

The Reservations Executive ensures accurate management of room blocks, reservations, and group market codes for a hospitality property. You will be the primary point of contact for guests and internal teams, handling booking requests, changes, and cancellations while upholding brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accuracy of room blocks, reservations, and market codes.
• Process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received via phone, fax, or mail.
• Verify room availability, rates, and explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies.
• Accommodate and document special guest requests and answer property‑related questions.
• Utilize the reservation system to input and retrieve data, set up billing accounts, and resolve booking challenges.
• Follow sales techniques to maximize revenue and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Assist management with training, scheduling, counseling, and coaching of staff.
• Maintain professional appearance, confidentiality, and quality assurance standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in hotel reservations or a related field.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• No specific license or certification required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with reservation system software.
