Relationship Manager – Retail Sales (Banking)

About the role

The Relationship Manager – Retail Sales (Banking) will drive retail banking sales in Delhi by managing distributor relationships, acquiring new clients, and ensuring the growth of investment portfolios.

Key responsibilities

• Execute retail sales initiatives, generate new business from existing relationships and achieve regional targets.
• Identify and pitch to new clients based on market analysis, and collaborate with channel partners to increase sales.
• Profile distributors, manage their requirements, and ensure continuous business flow, including adding folios and new SIPs.
• Achieve sales targets and improve the branch’s market share relative to the industry.
• Conduct regular meetings with distributors, handle empanelment and activation, disseminate product updates, and organize training sessions.
• Provide prompt service to maximize business from client relationships.
• Maintain 100% compliance with internal reporting and audit systems, submit weekly reports to business and regional heads, and keep the sales portal updated.
• Install advertising and publicity materials to enhance brand visibility.

Required profile

• General understanding of market dynamics and macro‑economics.
• Broad knowledge of financial products and investment options.
• Comprehensive understanding of the mutual fund industry and AMC product offerings.
• Fundamentals of financial planning and investment planning.
• Basic awareness of the regulatory framework governing banking and investments.
• Basic proficiency in Excel.

Required skills
