Recreation & Activity Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Recreation & Activity Manager to support the Director of Recreation in overseeing our pool and beach areas. The role involves maintaining facilities, ensuring cleanliness, and managing cabana operations while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage recreation staff, covering day‑to‑day operations and stepping in when needed.
• Maintain pool and beach areas, including daily upkeep, cleanliness, and cabana unit operations.
• Schedule and coordinate events, programs, and activities such as sand painting, bonfires, and team‑building events.
• Oversee children’s programs, purchase equipment and supplies, and manage group activities.
• Manage relationships with external vendors, including water‑sports and scuba providers.
• Order and control inventory of supplies, equipment, tools, and uniforms.
• Provide exemplary customer service, coaching staff and addressing guest needs.
• Conduct HR activities: identify development needs, mentor staff, participate in performance appraisals, and coordinate training.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 1 year of recreation/health‑club experience, or a 2‑year degree in Health Education, Physical Education, Hotel & Restaurant Management, or a related field.
• Ability to perform duties of team members in their absence and maintain quality standards.
• Strong organizational skills to prioritize, plan, and achieve departmental goals.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for coaching, mentoring, and fostering teamwork.
