Receiving Associate

About the role

The Hoxton Bengaluru City is recruiting a Receiving Associate for its first neighbourhood hotel in Asia, set to open in the city centre in 2026. The role covers receiving goods, checking deliveries and keeping the receiving area organised.

Key responsibilities

• Receive all incoming goods and verify deliveries against purchase orders, delivery notes and invoices.
• Inspect items for quantity, quality and compliance with company specifications, reporting any discrepancies or damage.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Finance and user departments so goods arrive on time and accurately.
• Prepare and maintain receiving records, documentation and system entries according to company procedures.
• Label goods correctly and transfer them promptly to the appropriate stores or departments.
• Keep the receiving area clean and organised, following health, safety and hygiene procedures.
• Assist with inventory counts, stock reconciliation and month-end closing.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls and audit requirements.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Receiving Associate, Receiving Clerk or Store Associate in a hotel, hospitality or retail setting.
• Knowledge of receiving procedures, inventory control and basic purchasing processes.
• Organised, reliable and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive, able to handle multiple priorities with accuracy.

Required skills

• Familiarity with inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail, record-keeping and communication skills.
