Barista

About the role

The Hoxton Bengaluru City is looking for a passionate, energetic and service-focused Barista to join its team. The hotel is set to open in 2026 in the heart of Bengaluru city centre, with 149 bedrooms, an all-day dining restaurant and bar in the lobby, a rooftop pool and bar, function rooms and The Apartment, a meeting and events concept.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee, tea and specialty beverages to The Hoxton's quality and presentation standards.
• Deliver a warm, friendly and memorable experience to every guest.
• Maintain expert knowledge of coffee beans, brewing techniques, milk texturing and beverage recipes.
• Recommend beverages and food pairings and upsell menu items and seasonal specials.
• Clean, maintain and keep coffee machines, grinders and barista equipment running efficiently.
• Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups and other supplies and report replenishment needs.
• Keep the coffee bar and service areas clean, hygienic and organised.
• Handle cash and POS transactions accurately and follow company procedures.
• Work closely with the Kitchen and Food & Beverage teams.
• Stay up to date with coffee trends and develop your product knowledge.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Barista in a specialty coffee shop, lifestyle restaurant or hotel.
• Passion for hospitality and a positive, guest-focused attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while keeping high service standards.

Required skills

• Espresso preparation, coffee extraction, milk steaming and latte art.
• Excellent communication skills.
