Raw Material Supervisor Coordinator (Ferro Alloys)

About the role

A Raw Material Supervisor Coordinator oversees the receipt, storage, movement and quality control of production inputs. The role manages yard or warehouse operations, tracks incoming shipments, reconciles ERP and inventory data and coordinates with production and logistics teams to prevent stockouts. The opening is for 1 person, full time, in Assam.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the intake, weighing, unloading and stacking of bulk or packaged raw materials such as metals, minerals or chemicals.
• Monitor incoming trucks, rail rakes and transport documents (waybills, challans, invoices) to ensure on-time delivery.
• Coordinate with the lab or quality control team to check sample size, moisture content and grade purity before accepting loads.
• Maintain accurate stock records, process purchase orders and receipts in ERP/WMS systems (such as SAP or Syspro) and audit inventory levels.
• Liaise with production, planning, procurement, maintenance and safety departments to keep material feeding continuous.
• Supervise shift workers, enforce plant safety compliance and manage housekeeping in storage yards and warehouses.

Required profile

• B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical, Mechanical or Metallurgy.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in raw material management, yard operations or warehouse supervision, typically in manufacturing, steel or heavy industry.
• Diploma or bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, operations or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency in ERP systems, weighbridge operations and transport document tracking.
• Basic oversight of material handling equipment such as payloaders, cranes, conveyors or forklifts.
