Quality Specialist

About the role

ABB’s Distribution Solutions division is seeking a Quality Specialist to support the deployment of its quality strategy for the Electrification business in Nashik, India. You will help drive quality culture, systems and tools, ensuring customer expectations are exceeded while maintaining sustainable operations.

Key responsibilities

• Support communication related to quality management within the assigned area.
• Identify and address risks and opportunities in quality management using data analytics.
• Analyse quality data to detect risks, failures and non‑conformances.
• Facilitate resolution of customer cases through robust root‑cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to achieve organisational targets and world‑class performance.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement, prevention and quick response initiatives.

Required profile

• Full‑time degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 6–8 years of experience in quality assurance, in‑process inspection, testing and handling customer complaints for vacuum interrupters or medium‑voltage switchgear.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, IEC standards, Lean Six Sigma, SAP‑QM and quality tools.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams and customers.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
