Python Developer – Generative AI (LangChain, OpenAI)

About the role

infrrd is looking for a motivated Python Developer to join its Engineering team in Bangalore. You will help build and enhance a proprietary Intelligent Document Processing platform, focusing on Generative AI features and robust, production‑ready code.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, debug, and ship product features, APIs, data transformations, and deployment workflows.
• Create and maintain Python utilities for validation, transformation, and automation of QC checklists.
• Implement GenAI workflows using LangChain and OpenAI, including prompt design, tool integration, and reliability guards.
• Design and tune vector indexing and retrieval with PGVector for checklist content and policies.
• Build evaluators, test harnesses, and regression suites for LLM pipelines and generated code.
• Instrument logging and metrics, perform root‑cause analysis, and document playbooks.
• Collaborate with Product, Customer Success, and QA to triage tickets, reproduce issues, and deliver hot‑fixes.
• Secure deployments with configuration management, secrets hygiene, and rollback strategies.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of professional Python development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands‑on experience delivering GenAI/LLM solutions in production‑like environments.
• Strong debugging abilities and clear communication skills.

Required skills

• Python 3.x with solid software‑engineering practices.
• GenAI/LLM tools: LangChain, OpenAI API, prompt engineering, tool/function calling, guards.
• NLP utilities such as NLTK or similar.
• MongoDB data modeling and query optimization.
• Vector databases and retrieval (PGVector on PostgreSQL) for RAG patterns.
• Observability, log analysis, and rapid root‑cause troubleshooting.
• LLM orchestration with OpenAI/Gemini, including retries, timeouts, and structured outputs.
