Principal R&D Technologist – Product Development

About the role

AVEVA is seeking an experienced R&D Principal Technologist to join its Predictive Analytics product team in Bangalore. This hands‑on engineering role focuses on building modern, scalable enterprise applications that handle large‑scale industrial and time‑series data while delivering rich, responsive user experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop responsive web applications using Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS/SCSS.
• Lead the implementation of complex frontend features, reusable components, services and UI patterns.
• Contribute across the full stack by developing C#/.NET APIs, services and backend components.
• Optimize user experiences for large datasets, complex visualisations and data‑intensive workflows.
• Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs, ensuring efficient data transfer, security and reliability.
• Mentor engineers and help raise frontend and full‑stack capability within the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience building enterprise web applications.
• Strong hands‑on expertise in Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS/SCSS.
• Proven experience with C#/.NET, REST APIs and backend service development.
