Purchase Specialist – MLFF Tolling Systems

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Purchase Specialist to lead sourcing and procurement for Multi‑Lane Free Flow (MLFF) tolling systems. The role will manage hardware, software, installation and O&M services for highway toll projects with NHAI/IHMCL and other authorities, ensuring timely delivery within budget and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Source, evaluate and select suppliers for MLFF components such as ANPR cameras, RFID/FASTag readers, vehicle classification sensors, gantry structures and IT infrastructure.
• Translate tender specifications into purchase specifications and run RFQ/RFP processes, preparing techno‑commercial comparisons.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, warranties, SLAs and liquidated damages in line with customer contracts.
• Procure civil, installation, commissioning and O&M services, and manage contracts with subcontractors.
• Audit suppliers for manufacturing, quality, safety and statutory compliance and release them per Bosch standards.
• Manage end‑to‑end procurement in SAP from requisition to GRN and invoice clearance, tracking budgets and schedules.
• Monitor supplier performance, resolve quality or delivery issues, and develop cost‑reduction and localisation strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communication, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; MBA in Supply Chain Management is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of project procurement experience in electronic toll collection, ITS, telecom or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of MLFF/ETC technologies, tender requirements and contract terms such as SLAs and liquidated damages.
• Excellent negotiation abilities and experience managing vendor and subcontractor relationships.
• Good understanding of GST, import‑export processes and SAP MM.
