IT Engineer SASE – SDWAN

About the role

Design and pilot new network architectures and deployments of next‑generation networks using SD‑WAN and public cloud technologies. Implement DevOps methodology with Infrastructure as Code to automate rollout and operational processes, focusing on effort and cost reductions. Lead the tool landscape for SD‑WAN administration and network orchestration.

Key responsibilities

• Design and pilot new network architectures and deployments utilizing SD‑WAN and public cloud technologies.
• Develop and support DevOps implementation using Infrastructure as Code for automated rollout and operations.
• Own the tool landscape to administer the SD‑WAN environment and automate network orchestration tasks.
• Continuously evolve technical and operational service architecture with emphasis on innovation, automation, stability, security and cost efficiency.
• Manage release processes, operational/technical workflows and live deployments in complex production IT environments.
• Drive escalation and problem management, coordinating global incident resolution with internal IT teams and external service providers.

Required profile

• Academic degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience.
• Expert knowledge of networking concepts, including network topologies, IP protocols (TCP/IP, IPSec, SSL, VPN, DNS) and dynamic routing (OSPF, BGP).
• Advanced experience with automation tools for on‑premise and virtual environments such as GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, Ansible and Terraform.
• Proven ability to solve complex network problems using diagnostic and monitoring tools.
• Experience building and maintaining SD‑WAN, Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) and public cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
