L3 Network Engineer (m/f/d)

About the role

The L3 Network Engineer will be responsible for managing and maintaining our network infrastructure for VPN and Business Partner Access, working in a dynamic, collaborative environment that follows DevOps and agile principles.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain VPN gateways, firewalls, load balancers, MS Guest Accounts and Site‑to‑Site tunnels.
• Perform hardware patching, configure complex network infrastructure and oversee the BPAT portal.
• Handle third‑level IT tickets, drive escalation and problem management, and coordinate with external service providers.
• Monitor network performance, execute backup and restore operations, and maintain detailed documentation.
• Conduct feasibility studies, market research and vendor evaluations to support continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in network engineering with a focus on VPN, firewalls and load balancers.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE or equivalent.
• Education in IT or networking.

Required skills

• VPN technologies and firewall configuration.
• Load balancer administration.
• MS Guest Accounts and Site‑to‑Site VPN tunnels.
• BPAT tool and network monitoring utilities.
• Automation tools (Ansible, Terraform) for on‑premise and virtual environments.
