Project Manager – Finance & Accounting (Bangalore)

About the role

ABB is seeking a Project Manager to lead finance and accounting projects within its Finance and Accounting Organization (FAO) in Bangalore. You will work closely with senior and mid‑level FAO management, service and performance teams, and cross‑functional partners to deliver transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and deliver assigned FAO projects on time, within scope and budget.
• Apply appropriate project methodologies, allocate resources, and manage direct and indirect stakeholders.
• Maintain project documentation such as RAID logs, toolkits, reporting decks and lessons learned.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, and provide regular progress updates to the Global PMO Lead and senior leadership.
• Establish project governance, define stakeholder meeting cadences and drive change management communications.
• Coach and advise other Project Managers and Associate Project Managers.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of project management experience with finance operations as a key stakeholder (total professional experience 8‑10 years).
• Comprehensive knowledge of finance operations and transformation initiatives.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and presentation skills.
• Fluent in spoken and written English with excellent communication abilities.
• Relevant degree (MCom, MBA – Finance, or BCom) with appropriate documentation.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2 or Agile (preferred).
