Project Manager – Civil Construction

About the role

The client is developing a holiday‑home and residential project in Dharamshala that includes residential blocks, villas, retaining walls, infrastructure, club/commercial areas, roads and services. The Project Manager will act as the client‑side owner, ensuring coordination, reporting, escalation and execution control without daily reliance on promoters or directors.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the master schedule, 4‑week look‑ahead, weekly plan and daily actual‑vs‑planned tracker for all work fronts.
• Publish a weekly dashboard covering completed work, upcoming tasks, delays, approvals, drawing status, contractor performance, quality issues and decisions required.
• Keep a live drawing register for architectural, structural, MEP, façade, landscape and interior drawings, ensuring the site works from the latest approved versions.
• Track RFIs, technical queries, drawing gaps and pending approvals; escalate any delays that could impact progress.
• Convert informal WhatsApp decisions into documented email confirmations where needed.
• Coordinate between head office, site team, contractor, consultants, JV/promoter team and vendors; attend critical site milestones, inspections and monthly reviews.
• Provide the site with clear guidance on work for the next 7 days, required labour, machinery, material availability, pending approvals, logistics, weather impacts and safety.

Required profile

• Experience managing civil construction projects of similar scale and complexity.
• Strong ability to translate drawings, approvals, consultant inputs and contractor commitments into a controlled execution system.
• Proactive in reporting, escalation and decision‑making to keep the project on schedule.
• Excellent coordination skills across multiple internal and external stakeholders.
