Production Officer – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

The Production Officer is responsible for managing a designated production team, plant, and material resources to ensure efficient, low‑cost, and sustainable manufacturing in line with Nestlé standards. The role works closely with internal and external supply processes to maintain high performance and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and issue production instructions to the shop floor, allocating appropriate manpower, material, and equipment.
• Execute and adjust production plans based on real‑time information to optimise output and attainment.
• Coordinate routine, periodic, and CIP/shutdown maintenance activities.
• Control production costs by managing resources while safeguarding product quality and safety.
• Ensure regulatory and process compliance, monitoring relevant KPIs.
• Measure, analyse, and control line performance, labour variance, and material usage using available systems.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives by reviewing failures and implementing corrective actions.
• Collaborate with other departments on trials, new product development, and technical projects.
• Prepare information for standard audits (HACCP, ISO, GMP) and support knowledge‑management activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a manufacturing or filling‑packing environment.
• Strong understanding of total production cost components and cost‑control principles.
• Familiarity with maintenance, quality, and regulatory systems.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Ability to coach, mentor, and develop production team members.
