Processing Worker I – Donation Sorting & Customer Service

About the role

The Processing Worker I joins Goodwill’s mission‑driven team to sort, clean, price, and stock donated goods for resale. This role supports the store’s operations by handling donations, maintaining a tidy processing area, and delivering excellent service to donors and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Sort, inspect, clean, price, and tally donated items for the sales floor.
• Push racks and carts, stock merchandise, and pull items as needed.
• Open and close the donations area, ensuring it remains safe and organized.
• Accept and safeguard donations while keeping processing zones clean.
• Assist truck helpers and drivers with loading and unloading.
• Provide courteous customer service to donors and shoppers.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 6 months recent processing experience or successful completion of a GISD employment program.
• Familiarity with quality clothing and well‑known brand merchandise is a plus.
