Supply Chain Functional Consultant – SAP Transportation Management

About the role

The client seeks an experienced SAP Transportation Management (TM) functional consultant to join their Application Management Services (AMS) team. You will provide L2/L3 functional support, configure TM processes, and drive continuous improvement of logistics operations in a remote, multi‑vendor environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver L2/L3 support for SAP TM, handling incidents, root‑cause analysis, and resolution within agreed SLAs.
• Configure and maintain TM master data, organizational units, transportation zones, planning profiles, BRF+ rules, freight agreements, carrier selection, and output management.
• Support core freight execution processes such as freight unit building, truck load building, shipment creation, scheduling, appointments, and settlement.
• Maintain integration points between TM and SAP SD, MM, FI/CO, EWM and external carriers via EDI, IDocs or APIs.
• Analyze change requests, produce functional specifications, configuration documentation, and test cases; support upgrades, support packages and release testing.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on SAP TM functional experience, including at least two full‑cycle implementations and two years in AMS or support roles.
• Strong knowledge of freight execution, truck load building, shipment and appointment processes, and freight settlement.
• Experience with SAP TM on S/4HANA (embedded TM) or SAP TM 9.x, and solid understanding of logistics and transportation operations.
• Fluent written and spoken English (C1 level) and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
