P&M Engineer – Asset Allocation & Monitoring

About the role

The P&M Engineer is responsible for the efficient allocation, monitoring and maintenance of all plant and machinery assets across road, bridge and metro projects. You will ensure optimal utilization, control costs, and support project delivery through accurate reporting and proactive equipment management.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate and monitor all P&M assets on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Generate, review and analyse performance reports and dashboards.
• Prepare programmes to maximise resource utilisation and minimise idle time.
• Track HSD consumption, output levels and equipment breakdown risks.
• Oversee construction vehicles (dumpers, tippers, trailers, four‑wheelers) and material‑handling equipment (cranes, TBMs, concrete mixers, compactors, pavers, road rollers, heavy‑duty pumps, batching plants).
• Coordinate erection of major plant and machinery, and manage budget preparation and cost monitoring for P&M.
• Handle servicing and regular maintenance of all equipment.
• Prepare Daily Monitoring Reports (DMR) and conduct root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• Engineering background with experience in plant and machinery management for infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with road, bridge and metro construction environments.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and manage multiple assets simultaneously.
