Plumbing MEP Design Engineer (3-8 yrs Experience)

About the role

We are looking for a technically strong and detail‑oriented Plumbing MEP Design Engineer to join our design consultancy team. The role focuses on complete plumbing system design for residential, commercial, hospitality, institutional and industrial projects, covering water supply, drainage, storm water, tank sizing and hydraulic calculations.

Key responsibilities

• Design water supply systems, including inlet/outlet layouts, demand calculations, pump selection and tank sizing.
• Create drainage and sewerage layouts using fixture‑unit calculations, pipe slope planning and vent sizing.
• Develop storm‑water and rain‑water networks, roof drainage, harvesting systems and discharge planning.
• Engineer sump and overhead tanks, pump rooms, and control logic for level and pump operation.
• Prepare plumbing BOQs, quantity take‑offs, material specifications, valve/pipe/fixture schedules and isometric drawings.
• Coordinate with electrical, HVAC, structural and architectural teams, participate in BIM meetings and support clash detection in Revit MEP.
• Ensure compliance with NBC Part 9, CPHEEO guidelines and relevant Indian standards (IS 2065, IS 13498).

Required profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (mandatory).
• 3–8 years of experience in plumbing design within an MEP consultancy.
• Experience on residential, commercial, hospitality or institutional projects.
• Consultancy background preferred over site‑only roles.

Required skills

• Advanced AutoCAD for plumbing layout drafting and detailing.
• Proficiency in Revit (BIM) for coordination and clash detection.
