Plumbing Design Engineer – Residential & Commercial Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Plumbing Design Engineer to create and oversee plumbing systems for residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects across India. The role covers water supply, drainage, stormwater, sewage, gas piping, fire protection and sustainable water solutions while ensuring compliance with Indian standards and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed plumbing system designs, including water supply, drainage, stormwater, sewage, gas and firefighting networks.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and size pipes, pumps and equipment.
• Develop design drawings and schematics using AutoCAD, Revit MEP/BIM.
• Coordinate plumbing layouts with HVAC, electrical and structural disciplines.
• Prepare technical specifications, BOQs and ensure compliance with IS, NBC and other codes.
• Review contractor shop drawings, material submittals and provide technical support during tendering and procurement.
• Attend design and site coordination meetings, conduct inspections and resolve construction issues.
• Design water‑efficient and sustainable systems such as rainwater harvesting and grey‑water recycling, integrating green building standards.

Required profile

• B.E./B.Tech./M.Tech. in Mechanical, Civil or related engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in plumbing system design for commercial, residential, hospital or high‑rise projects.
• Experience with EPC‑mode projects in the building sector is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail and effective communication skills.
