Plumbing Design Engineer (MEP)

About the role

We are looking for a technically strong Plumbing Design Engineer (MEP) to join our design consultancy team in Devanahalli/Bangalore. The role focuses on complete plumbing system design for residential, commercial, hospitality, institutional and industrial projects, covering water supply, drainage, storm water, tank and pump room engineering, as well as BOQ preparation and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Design water supply systems, including inlet/outlet layouts, demand calculations, pump selection and tank sizing.
• Create drainage and sewerage layouts, perform fixture‑unit calculations, pipe slope planning and vent sizing.
• Develop storm water and rainwater harvesting designs, roof drainage layouts and external network planning.
• Engineer sump and overhead tanks, partition planning, pump room layouts and pump control logic.
• Prepare detailed plumbing BOQs, material specifications, valve/pipe/fixture schedules and isometric drawings.
• Coordinate with electrical, HVAC, structural and architectural teams, participate in BIM meetings and support clash detection in Revit MEP.
• Ensure compliance with NBC Part 9, CPHEEO guidelines and relevant Indian standards (IS 2065, IS 13498).

Required profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (mandatory).
• 3–8 years of experience in plumbing design within an MEP consultancy.
• Hands‑on experience with residential, commercial, hospitality or institutional projects.
• Consultancy background preferred over site‑only execution.
