MEP Engineer

About the role

The MEP Engineer will lead the execution and supervision of mechanical works for Tata Electronics' new semiconductor foundry. This onsite position involves coordinating HVAC, piping, firefighting, and utility systems to ensure seamless integration with civil and electrical disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and supervise mechanical installations, including HVAC, piping, and firefighting systems.
• Ensure work follows approved GA drawings, P&IDs, layouts, and project specifications.
• Coordinate closely with civil, electrical, and other MEP services to achieve clash‑free execution.
• Identify and resolve interface issues across disciplines.
• Manage first‑fix and second‑fix activities, including shared services rack installation.
• Conduct site coordination meetings with vendors and internal teams.
• Monitor contractor performance, safety, quality, and productivity.
• Prepare progress reports (DPR/WPR) and oversee testing, commissioning, and compliance with QA/QC and ISO standards.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping, and firefighting systems.
• Proven experience in MEP and civil coordination and interface management.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.
• Hands‑on experience with first‑fix/second‑fix and services rack installations.
• Ability to read and interpret GA drawings, P&IDs, and layouts.

Required skills

• HVAC system design and installation (AHU, MAU, RCU, chilled water, centrifugal chillers).
• Piping materials: MS, SS, PPH, PVDF, HDPE, uPVC.
• Firefighting systems (hydrant, sprinkler, related packages).
• Utility systems: compressed air (CDA), PCW, heat exchangers, cooling towers, UPW, WWTP.
• Vendor management (e.g., L&T or similar EPC contractors).
