Project Planning & Control Manager – Data Centre Construction

About the role

The Project Planning & Coordination Manager will lead planning, scheduling, monitoring and control activities for hyperscale data centre construction projects, ensuring timely delivery through effective schedule management and stakeholder coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Establish baselines, milestones and critical path activities across design, procurement, construction and commissioning.
• Monitor schedule performance, identify slippages and propose recovery actions.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams (civil, structural, MEP, telecom, commissioning, etc.) and resolve inter‑departmental issues.
• Track daily, weekly and monthly progress, preparing dashboards, MIS reports and executive summaries.
• Implement project control frameworks, support Earned Value Management and ensure governance compliance.
• Maintain risk registers, develop mitigation plans and provide data‑driven recommendations.
• Plan and monitor manpower, equipment and contractor resources to optimise utilisation.
• Synchronise material procurement and engineering deliverables with the project schedule.

Required profile

• Proven experience in planning, scheduling and controlling large‑scale construction projects, preferably data centre builds.
• Strong understanding of project controls, risk management and resource planning.
• Ability to work as a central coordination point among design, procurement, construction and commercial teams.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills with a focus on data‑driven decision making.
