Mechanical Component Engineer (Level 2)

About the role

The Mechanical Component Engineer (Level 2) will lead the concept, basic design and packaging of electrical components for drive products. You will be responsible for detailed engineering, validation, and the successful launch of new products while driving cost‑out initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Conceptualize and create basic mechanical designs for packaging of electrical components.
• Perform detailed engineering, validation, and documentation of designs.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI), localization, and development of drive products.
• Lead mechanical cost‑out and DMP activities.
• Ensure on‑time delivery (OTD) and first‑time‑right (FTY) of deliverables.
• Manage technical and risk aspects of projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (CAD design preferred).
• Minimum 4 years of mechanical design experience in LV/MV drives.
• Proven experience in requisition engineering, cost reduction, and localization.
• Strong knowledge of international standards, GD&T, and manufacturing quality standards.
• Demonstrated leadership, cross‑functional teamwork, and excellent communication in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD tools.
• Sheet‑metal design expertise.
• Good understanding of GD&T.
• Experience with simulation tools.
• Knowledge of DFMEA and DFM methodologies.
• Familiarity with LV/MV drive systems.
• Experience in NPI, cost‑reduction, and localization processes.
