Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Chennai

About the role

The Electrical Maintenance Engineer will be based in Chennai and will be responsible for maintaining special purpose machines and ensuring high equipment availability through effective breakdown, preventive and predictive maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform SPM (Special Purpose Machine) maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Execute breakdown, preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
• Monitor and improve MTTR and MTBF metrics.
• Diagnose and resolve PLC and VFD/Drive issues.
• Carry out motor maintenance, control panel wiring, and sensor troubleshooting.
• Identify and fix electrical faults, work with servo drives and HMI.
• Troubleshoot pneumatics cylinders and valves.
• Interpret electrical circuits, drawings and relay logic.

Required profile

• ITI in Electrical or Mechanical.
• Diploma in EEE/EC, Mechatronics/DM, or B.E. in EEE/ECE.
• Experience ranging from 1‑5 years (Junior Engineer/Technician) to 10+ years (Engineer).

Required skills

• SPM maintenance, breakdown & preventive maintenance.
• MTTR/MTBF analysis.
• PLC, VFD/Drive, and motor troubleshooting.
• Control panel wiring and sensor troubleshooting.
• Electrical fault finding, servo drives & HMI.
• Pneumatics cylinder/valve troubleshooting.
• Electrical circuit & drawing interpretation, relay logic.
