About the role
Alghanim Industries is seeking an Assistant Purchasing Manager with 5‑6 years of purchasing experience, including at least 2 years in the steel, fabrication or PEB industry, to support civil project procurement and CAPEX/O&M sourcing.
Key responsibilities
- Sourcing civil‑project related requirements, CAPEX items, O&M items and services.
- Researching, evaluating and liaising with suppliers following vendor sourcing best practices.
- Managing supply‑chain procedures, sending RFQs, comparing offers and evaluating them technically and commercially.
- Negotiating contract terms and pricing.
- Coordinating inter‑ and intra‑departmental technical clearances and ensuring timely receipt of materials.
Required profile
- 5‑6 years of purchasing experience with a minimum of 2 years in steel, fabrication or PEB sectors.
- Strong analytical skills and solid understanding of supply‑chain processes.
- Proficiency in creating purchase orders in SAP.
- Ability to handle queries from internal and external customers.
