Manager – Metal & Mining Services & Operations Advisory

About the role

PwC is seeking a Manager to lead digital transformation and PMO activities for large capital projects in the metals and mining sector. You will oversee planning, execution, governance and benefits realization while driving adoption of advanced digital and AI solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and run the PMO, including stage‑gate governance, change control, RACI matrices and escalation paths.
• Build and maintain an Integrated Master Schedule, perform critical‑path and what‑if analyses, and lead schedule compression strategies.
• Implement cost controls, Earned Value Management (EVM) with CPI/SPI, forecast‑at‑completion and variance analysis.
• Drive risk management, safety governance and reporting to senior leadership.
• Promote digital/AI tools such as 5D BIM, advanced scheduling, risk analytics, drone/LiDAR progress tracking, IoT geo‑fencing, digital twins and GenAI assistants.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale capital projects in metals or mining.
• Strong background in PMO set‑up, governance and financial controls.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
