Manager - Global Sensory Evaluator, Scent

About the role

IFF, a global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients and health & biosciences, is hiring a Manager - Global Sensory Evaluator, Scent. The role leads the global sensory evaluation program for fragrance raw materials and is based onsite in Sri City, India.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the global sensory evaluation program for fragrance raw materials.
• Ensure consistent sensory quality standards, methodologies and expertise across the organization.
• Serve as the organization's subject matter expert in raw material sensory science.
• Drive global sensory standards, quality strategies and capability development to support raw material quality, supply continuity and customer satisfaction.
• Develop global sensory capabilities and best practices for raw material assessment.
• Develop policies and guidelines for fragrance development and comply with fragrance regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Technology or another relevant discipline.
• At least 8 years of experience in a Sensory Lab environment.
• Ability to differentiate the odor and characteristics of materials and to make sensory decisions on raw material elimination, replacement and approval/rejection of new alternatives through the IQR process.
• Review and update global process and procedure documents.
• Preferred: certification in a People Leadership Program.

Required skills

• Sensory analysis experience.
• Proficiency in SAP and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong written and verbal communication, project management, people leadership and presentation skills in a global environment.
