Design Team Leader - Bakery, Bars & Confectionery

About the role

IFF, a global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients and health & biosciences, is hiring a Design Team Leader for its Bakery, Bars & Confectionery (BBC) business unit. The role is based in Bengaluru, India and is an onsite position. You will lead a high-performing application team and drive customer projects from concept to commercialization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing BBC application team.
• Drive customer projects from concept to commercialization.
• Develop bakery, snack bar, confectionery, filling and coating prototypes.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Lead customer presentations, workshops and technical demonstrations.
• Manage project priorities, resources and timelines.
• Support growth opportunities through consumer and market insights and build strong customer and stakeholder relationships.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Technology, Dairy Technology or another relevant discipline.
• Minimum 15-20 years of experience in a similar role within food manufacturing, food ingredients or the flavor industry.
• At least 3+ years of team management experience.
• Strong knowledge of beverage and dairy applications, formulation, manufacturing processes and troubleshooting.

Required skills

• Knowledge of food safety, GMP, quality systems and regulations.
• Good written and verbal communication; English is essential.
• Project management and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the company IS system.
