Maintenance Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to keep plant equipment operating safely, reliably and in compliance with Hitachi Energy standards. You will play a key part in preventive maintenance, risk reduction and sustainable engineering practices while supporting overall plant productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Execute standard and routine maintenance tasks on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.
• Follow Hitachi Energy processes, safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.
• Track and report maintenance KPIs such as MTBF, MTTR, downtime and spare‑parts usage.
• Maintain a clean work area and apply 5S principles.
• Diagnose equipment issues, respond quickly to breakdowns and work shifts independently.
• Maintain machine checklists and record equipment history.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 4‑5 years of shop engineering experience, preferably in the transformer industry.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
