Mainframe Engineer

About the role

As a Mainframe Engineer at ANZ, you will deliver and support stable technology solutions for the Markets business, focusing on the Money Market application while gaining exposure to other systems.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑level application support and manage the application to meet SLA, NFR and audit requirements.
• Analyze and translate business requirements into functional and non‑functional specifications, perform impact analysis, estimate effort and conduct peer reviews.
• Lead and mentor less‑experienced engineers, driving engineering competency and process improvement.

Required profile

• 4+ years of hands‑on experience in mainframe application maintenance and production support.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a data‑driven approach.
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills and ability to manage risks, issues and dependencies.
