Assistant Director QA Engineer

About the role

Moody's is seeking an Assistant Director of QA Engineering to lead quality assurance for its Asset Management applications. The role focuses on building scalable automation frameworks, driving AI‑enabled testing, and ensuring high reliability and performance of enterprise‑scale solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and evolve the QA strategy for Asset Management and data solutions, covering functional, integration, API, database and performance testing.
• Design, develop and maintain robust test automation frameworks using Playwright, Selenium, Cypress and related tools.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, leveraging Docker, containerised environments and parallel execution.
• Establish quality metrics, communicate risks and recommendations to engineering leaders and product managers.
• Mentor QA engineers, champion automation best practices and support continuous improvement across the organization.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in quality assurance, test automation and software quality across the full development lifecycle.
• Strong programming skills in Java, TypeScript and Python.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker and modern software delivery practices.
• Deep expertise in AI concepts and responsible AI adoption.
• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related field.
