Machine Technician – Pune

About the role

The Machine Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining production equipment in a food manufacturing environment. You will follow standard operating conditions, ensure safety and quality standards, and contribute to continuous improvement on the line.

Key responsibilities

• Operate machines according to Standard Operating Conditions (SOC) and ensure efficient run‑time.
• Perform shutdown, startup and change‑over procedures safely.
• Clear jams, clean equipment, and dispose of defective product or raw material.
• Troubleshoot equipment at an operational level and escalate issues beyond the area of expertise.
• Maintain accurate documentation, logbooks and CP0 module data.
• Monitor and report safety, food‑safety near‑misses, and corrective actions.
• Follow personal hygiene, GMP, LOTO, and other Mars safety policies.
• Identify line wastage, support Kaizen/OPL initiatives and participate in problem‑solving groups.

• Ability to work on the shop floor following strict safety, quality and food‑safety standards.
• Attention to detail for accurate record‑keeping and compliance.
• Willingness to collaborate with area associates and contractors.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and waste reduction.

Required skills

• Machine operation and equipment handling.
• Operational troubleshooting of production machinery.
• Shutdown and startup procedures.
• Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) safety practices.
• Basic food‑safety, GMP and CCP monitoring.
• Documentation and logbook maintenance.
