About the role
Softcell is seeking a skilled Linux Administrator to join its IT infrastructure team. The role involves maintaining and optimizing Linux‑based production environments for a wide range of enterprise customers.
Key responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve system problems in a 24x7 environment.
- Install, configure, and maintain open‑source technology stacks.
- Perform OS and application upgrades on existing servers.
- Monitor performance and ensure high availability of services.
- Plan capacity and size hardware for future growth.
- Manage Linux servers (RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu) and associated services.
Required profile
- Graduate (minimum 16 years of education) with RHCE certification.
- Proficient in English with strong communication skills.
- Solid troubleshooting abilities and experience with production‑grade Linux systems.
Required skills
- Linux administration (RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu).
- Web and application servers: Apache, Tomcat.
- Network services: DNS, Postfix SMTP, Plesk.
- Virtualisation and containers: Proxmox, KVM, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Monitoring and observability: Prometheus, Kibana, Grafana, OpenSearch.
- Databases: MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL.
