Legal Executive – Real Estate (Bangalore)

About the role

Urban Stories is looking for a Legal Executive to support its real‑estate projects in Bangalore. The role will handle legal documentation, title verification, drafting, compliance and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth land transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advisory to management and other departments, including advice on contracts, stamp duty and loan documentation.
• Maintain physical and digital repositories of land records, approvals, agreements and deeds; ensure version control and audit trails.
• Draft sale deeds, agreements, partition deeds, MOUs and related legal documents using company templates.
• Verify titles and conduct due‑diligence on property records such as RTC, khata, mutation and revenue documents.
• Upload documents to Kaveri Online Services, coordinate stamp vendors, book registrar appointments and oversee registration.
• Ensure compliance with Karnataka Stamp Act, Registration Act, RERA, Land Revenue Act and related regulations.
• Liaise with BBMP, BDA, Tehsildar and other authorities to obtain NOCs, khata transfers and conversion orders.
• Follow up with landowners, brokers and clients to obtain pending signatures and documents.

Required profile

• Proven experience in real‑estate legal documentation and title verification.
• Strong knowledge of Karnataka real‑estate laws, RERA, Stamp and Registration Acts.
• Ability to draft and review sale deeds, agreements and other legal instruments.
• Familiarity with government portals such as Kaveri Online Services.
• Excellent coordination skills with internal teams, authorities and external parties.
