Legal Counsel – Commercial & Technology

About the role

Ushur is looking for a Legal Counsel to support commercial, procurement, and day‑to‑day legal matters for its AI‑driven platform serving regulated industries. Reporting to the Associate General Counsel, you will work closely with both the India office and global teams.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including SaaS and subscription contracts, Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work, order forms, vendor and supplier agreements, professional services contracts, partner/reseller agreements, NDAs, DPAs and BAAs.
• Advise internal stakeholders on commercial provisions such as liability, indemnification, IP, confidentiality, data protection, security, warranties, SLAs, termination and insurance.
• Support business teams throughout the contracting lifecycle and help resolve contractual issues.
• Serve as the primary legal point of contact for the India office, partnering with procurement and other business functions.
• Contribute to the improvement of contract templates, playbooks and workflow processes.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of post‑qualification experience in a corporate or in‑house legal role.
• Strong fundamentals in commercial contracting and technology agreements.
• Ability to work independently within clear escalation guidelines.
• Excellent judgment on legal risks in a regulated, AI‑focused environment.
