Legal Assistant – Matter Docketing Specialist

About the role

Waters Corporation is seeking a Legal Assistant to support the Corporate Legal group. The role focuses on managing matter intake, triage, and docketing while ensuring data integrity and compliance with internal governance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage intake, triage, and assignment of legal matters using the corporate matter management system.
• Analyse requests and determine the appropriate documents or advice, including review, preparation, and finalisation of agreements such as NDAs, MTAs, CDAs, and seed agreements.
• Create, manage, and maintain legal matters in HighQ, ensuring accurate data and compliance.
• Coordinate stakeholders, oversee workflow, and produce reporting to drive efficient legal operations.
• Maintain and update legal templates, playbooks, and knowledge bases.
• Collaborate with global legal teams to ensure consistent delivery of legal services.
• Support legal‑technology initiatives, including document automation, workflow tools, and e‑signature platforms.
• Ensure compliance with data‑privacy, confidentiality, and internal governance standards.

Required profile

• Experience in corporate legal support or matter management.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work with global teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Understanding of internal governance, data‑privacy, and confidentiality requirements.
