Lead Java Spring Microservices Developer

About the role

Synechron is looking for an experienced Lead Java Spring Microservices Developer in Bengaluru to lead the design, development and delivery of scalable microservices-based applications. The role involves guiding a team of Java developers, aligning technology solutions with business needs and mentoring teams for high-quality outputs that support digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design, development, deployment and management of microservices architectures using Java Spring technologies.
• Mentor and guide a team of Java developers, ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices and delivery timelines.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, QA and operations teams on technical implementation.
• Design and implement scalable, reliable and secure microservices aligned with business requirements.
• Evaluate new technologies, tools and methodologies, and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues and maintain technical documentation, deployment scripts and operational procedures.
• Support agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups and retrospectives.

Required profile

• 5 to 10 years of Java development and microservices architecture experience.
• Proven experience leading Java/Spring projects in enterprise environments and leading teams.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments; hands-on cloud deployment, containerization and automation preferred.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field; advanced certifications preferred.

Required skills

• Java (Java SE 11 or higher); Spring Boot and Spring Cloud essential.
• Git, Maven or Gradle; CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
• Preferred: Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure/GCP, MySQL/PostgreSQL, MongoDB/Cassandra, OAuth/JWT.
